Proper Diet

Sea Salt mixture
In addition to strengthening brittle nails, sea salt helps soften cuticles and offers a dazzling sheen to your nails. In a small dish of warm water, combine two tablespoons of acceptable grain sea salts with two drops of wheat germ oil, frankincense oil, and a few drops of lemon oil. Soak your nails in this solution for around 10-15 minutes before rinsing with warm water. Next, Pat dry and apply hand cream. This method can be repeated three times each week for the best results.
Coconut oil massage
Warm a few teaspoons of coconut oil in your hands. Apply it to your nails and hands, and gently massage it in. Along with strengthening your nails, it will boost your blood circulation and keep your nails wet. Warm coconut oil can also be combined with a few drops of lemon juice. Soak your nails in this mixture for a few minutes before gently massaging them. Wear gloves after the massage and keep them on overnight for the best benefits.
Keep them moisturized
Apply petroleum jelly or a moisturizer lotion to your nails throughout the day. Wear thin cotton gloves after massage with oil at night to reap the most benefits from it. You can also use vinyl gloves when doing dishes or laundry. Nail polish removers with high acetone or formaldehyde concentration are harmful to your nails; instead, use acetate-based removers.
Olive oil and lemon juice infusion
Infuse a teaspoon of olive oil with a few drops of lemon juice. Apply little amounts of this mixture to your nails and massage them in. Allow it to sit overnight, and wear soft hand gloves afterwards to protect your nails from water. For best effects, do this at least twice a week.

A well-known carcinogenic agent is used as a nail hardening ingredient. The long-lasting nail polishes that you love contain formaldehyde in abundance. It is also used as a disinfectant that prevents bacterial contamination.

In 2006, public health advocates began protesting these three harmful compounds; since then, leading nail polish brands have voluntarily removed the "toxic trio" from their products and relabeled their brands with 5-free, 10-free, and even 12-free.
