The Women in our Customers' Lives

The Women in our Customers' Lives

This women's month, we celebrate the women in our lives who inspire us to work toward our dreams and help change the world. It's also an excellent time to reflect on how far women have progressed since then, as well as reflect on the challenges they still face.

Here at Nami, we want to take our hats off to #toughasnails women— women who are only made stronger and more powerful in a world where they can be branded as weak, incapable, or less simply because of their gender.

This month, we recognise the women in our customers’ lives—those who have ignited their hopes and dreams.

“I just want to share the story of this amazing woman that really sparked change in our life, it's my sister @mrts_pcmio she gives inspiration and motivation not only to us but all the people who truly know how brave and determined she is. She chooses to serve our fellow ka barangay as a volunteer health care worker while in the battle of cervical cancer, especially right now, that our healthcare workers are on the frontlines of battling the novel coronavirus disease that's spreading rapidly throughout our city, state, and nation. She's putting herself in the path of this virus as we all know she has her own battle, fighting cancer us a battle that is not won just by medicines, chemotherapy and a great team of doctors. Becoming cancer-free also requires a constant stream of strong will, power, faith, hope, love, and most importantly, a positive attitude. Cancer patients like her who have kicked the disease out of their bodies usually emerge stronger and focus on making every day of their second chance count. Her inspirational stories are the stuff miracles are made of.

She could have given up, but you chose to fight. She chose to beat all the odds. She chose to believe that hope is stronger than reality. She chose to overlook the suffering. She chose to see the light at the end of life's darkest tunnel. She made all the right choices, she's inspirational. She chooses to serve her fellowmen and fight against Covid 19. Her survival and bravery isn't just a personal victory. She's a true inspiration to millions of people who are hoping to beat the odds and come out stronger.! She's really my idol, she empowered me, us to go on with life! Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all. It is not how much you do- it is how much love you put into the doing.

Instead of turning our backs on them and hurting them because we are scared of getting infected, we need to give them thanks and celebrate them. There is no match for their dedication and service to our country And they deserve all the treat in this world!”

“Tagging my mom Medy Medina! Growing up, my mom did different jobs with just one working eye. Yes her left eye is blind but that is not important. She became a Janitress, a maid, she washes other people's clothes every day. she became a Balot and penoy Vendor and a cantene cook. She did all of that for us since my father back then is jobless because his sick.

She never stops working just to earn money, she also sells Minatamis na Sampalok from our backyard and sometimes sells vegetables that she planted. I remember lam in high school when we are force to leave our house since the owner needed the land where our house is built.

We are left with nothing and we are blessed to have our grandmother to save us from being homeless.

Even though we don't have a lot of money, my mom did not ask me and my siblings to stop studying but she told us to "Study well and be a good person because it can lead us to the good life". She never stops working and being a cantene cook, she's able to make my brother and me, finish college. Our dream is for her. She's not able to study but she is the most intelligent person I know. My mother only finish Highschool but was able to be a good mother to us.

She is the kindest person I know not only for our family but for other people. She has the strength that comes from her heart like a superhero.

Who will think that a woman who just finished high school, from a poor family with 9 siblings, became a janitress, a maid, washes other clothes, balot penoy vendor, canteen cook and many other hard jobs is now a mother that dedicated her life to other people.

I will always be proud of my Mom.”

“Tagging my sis Zel Beltran and my nana Mila Tudla. They taught me how to be independent, how to make strong family connections, and how to set goals to become a strong woman. Through positive and negative times growing up, I have used every experience as a life lesson and something to grow from. Happy Women's month!”

“I've always been inspired in life because I know from the start that I came from a loving, brave, and strong woman. She may not be able to hear it right now, but I know deep within my heart that she already knows it. I can't think of anyone who would best describe the one who inspired me to be the woman I am today, no other than my late mother, Verna Fedines!

She was and always have been my inspiration to do my best every day even though I already have a family of my own. She made a huge impact in my life most especially in dealing with motherhood. I really missed her a lot and I would like to thank her for giving me life, love, and happiness. She became my first teacher, mentor, best friend and confidant. I love you, mama! 😌 I hope you will always guide me up there. I hope you are happy and at peace. Till we meet again.”

- Glad Fedines Amigo

“There have been many people in my life who have impacted it both negatively and positively, but no one has had an impact in my life greater than my mom, Erlinda Cagampan Aviles. My nanny is just amazing in my eyes, right from the beginning because of the way she raised us, if I had children I would raise them the same way she raised us. Thank you nana for inspiring me to be a better person, mother, and wife. Happy women's month!”

Tagging my mother Marivic Diaz strongest person I've met. Despite all the hardships and pain she never lets it bring her down. She keeps on fighting you never see a sign or a hint of her giving up. She is like a carabao in the sense that she keeps on pulling the heavy load under any condition She is an extremely motivating and inspiring woman. I look up to her and try to follow her put a step by becoming strong too. For me, she is the modern Gabriela Silang. You will never hear any regrets or words of sorrow from her. Truly mother knows best, that's why every word she says is like a powerful voice that can move mountains. And now that I'm at the right age, I realized the hardships and sacrifices she had done for us. She is the best woman in our life that can never be replaced by anyone. Our one and only, our best mom! I love her so much. Even at the age of 60, she still works hard; as a farmer, maid, and vegetable vendor. She just keeps on fighting and that really motivates me.
